Some of you may have heard about the Kraft Heinz Lunchables Recall.  Apparently there were "undeclared allergens and misbranding." This is so frustrating, because as busy parents we don't always have the time to plan out wholesome lunches for our kids, and we can't necessarily rely on the schools to provide a lunch that is healthy or even tasty.  Those pre-packed lunch kits are tempting since they save time, but is it what we want our kids eating?  Especially if we're trying to be ingredient aware?

Packing lunches doesn't have to be a time consuming chore. In our house we keep cold cuts, cheese sticks, fresh fruit, and some kind of crunchy snack handy.  This makes packing a lunch pretty fast and provides a well rounded assortment of foods to keep our kids fueled for their busy day.  This formula pretty much never fails us!  But for even more variety, I found this great blog post from whatlisacooks.com, showing more than 2 dozen gluten free lunch ideas.  Not only great for kids, but for us working parents that need to eat, too!
